Catalina State Park

Catalina State Park – 11570 N. Oracle Rd, Tucson, Arizona 85737catalina

Right there in the desert, just north of Tucson, lies Catalina State Park.  You won’t find many State Parks among my posts, but this one is exceptional.  It’s really the experience that makes it so special.  The beauty of this desert setting at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains to the East, the cactus, the Road Runners, and the Coyotes, all punctuate one of the most relaxing RV experiences we’ve enjoyed!  This park offers electricity (20, 30, & 50amp) and good water. There are a couple of very accessible dump stations, but no full-hook sites.  Catalina becomes a very popular place in winter, a bit easier to reserve space in the summer and fall.  Oh, yeah…the night sky is not to believed!  It’s also surprisingly close to civilization, but you won’t notice it.
