Grand Canyon Railway RV Resort, 601 W Franklin Ave, Williams, AZ 86046
Maybe the very best it gets for RVers that want to experience the wonders of The Grand Canyon, is Grand Canyon Railway RV Resort. Williams, Arizona, is about 30 miles West of Flagstaff and considered the Gateway to the Grand Canyon. If you are planning a stay (I suggest this experience strongly) take the train ride. You catch the train right at the park, and it’s just 65 miles to the rim of The Canyon, a delightful 2:15 trip. But more about the park…this park is very clean, neat, and complete. All amenities are included (they will even watch your puppy while you take the train to the Canyon!) friendly, comfortable, etc. Sites are roomy, level, and paved. They are bent on keeping things just so, with pads required under jacks, supports for all sewer hoses, etc., and the park reflects this attention to detail. We have stayed here with and without the railway to the Canyon, but think you should include the Canyon. It’s stellar!
