Sparks Marina RV Park, 1200 E Lincoln Way, Sparks, NV  89434

Well, there is actually a Marina, although perhaps not what you expect…it’s very small, and rests on a very small man-made lake.  Still, it really is attractive, and makes ‘Sparks Marina’ a factual statement.  About 200 sites, all level concrete pads, back-in and pull-thru, all the normal amenities, friendly, and very inexpensive.  Well maintained and clean as Grandma’s silverware, the park fairly shines.  We routinely use this park as a first-night stop out of Sacramento when heading out across Nevada as it allows for a perfect (and short) first-day’s drive to Elko, where we stay at Iron Horse.  If you have not yet discovered Sparks Marina, do it soon.  A great spot!

Iron Horse RV Resort, 3400 E. Idaho St., Elko, NV  89801

Iron Horse sits just off Interstate 80, on the Eastern edge of Elko.  The entire park is well below the elevation of the highway and frontage road, making for quiet nights.  Also, it is adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn, providing some great benefits, restaurant, etc.  This is a mid-sized park of about 100 well maintained and level sites, some concrete.  For me, the Elko location makes getting across Nevada a lot easier, and the classy feeling you’ll note here is welcomed!  This park offers a lot of bang for your RV buck!

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort – 2711 W. Windmill Lane, Las Vegas, Nevada  89123

This place is pure Las Vegas!  Just off the south end of the strip, this is, as the name states, a true Oasis!  A large park, well maintained, and very comfortable.  Sites are all full-hook, but you may want to consider “Premium-Plus” or “Big Rig”, as the upcharge is well worth the cost.  You really don’t want to walk to the clubs, as they are farther than they appear!  The pool and common areas are everything you would expect in Las Vegas.  Enjoy!

New Frontier RV Park, 4360 Rim Rock Rd, Winnemucca, NV. 89445

Still fairly new (2014) but developing nicely.  Sites are packed gravel, large and very level.  137 sites, 13 are pull-thru.   Just off I-80, the park is by far the nicest we’ve found in the area.
